Jenna Nicole Burleigh, beloved daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and student, passed suddenly on, Sept. 2, 2017, at the young age of 22.
Jenna is from Harleysville, Pennsylvania. She is an alum of Souderton Area High School, Montgomery Community College, and had recently started classes at Temple University. Jenna was passionate and outspoken about issues of homelessness and social injustice. She wrote on Facebook, “I truly believe in the good in people and the magic that can be found in all of us. I will always fight for what’s right. I will always fight for equality for ALL.”
All funds donated will be used as Jenna’s parents deem most appropriate. At this time, Jenna’s parents have indicated their desire to honor Jenna’s memory by continuing the work that Jenna had started to help the homeless. With this in mind, they have directed all funds raised by this GoFundMe campaign to be deposited directly into the “Univest Foundation – Jenna’s Blessing Bags.” This foundation will help the homeless by purchasing backpacks, that will then be filled with living necessities, and subsequently distributed to the homeless.
