For Felix Pabon, the lure of the streets was so strong that spent much his time mixed into that world, but Sundays were always reserved for family. Those who knew Felix knew how important family moments were to him.
“Felix enjoyed life in his own way,” his sister Evelyn said. “He loved cars, riding dirt bikes, and playing basketball. He also enjoyed listening to music and spending time socializing with friends.”

Beneath his tough exterior was a generous and compassionate heart. Felix often took on odd jobs so he could help provide for his family. “My brother used any money he earned to buy food, clothes, furniture, or anything else he thought we needed,” Evelyn said. Even during times when he was incarcerated, he remained generous—sharing whatever he received in care packages with his fellow inmates.
Felix, born on June 8, 1983, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, moved to Philadelphia when he was about 7 years old. The city became his home and the place where he built many friendships and memories. But his life was one marked by both hardship and deep love for the people around him, especially his family.
He was the proud single father of two boys and five girls, and his children were the center of his world. No matter what challenges he faced, his love for them never wavered, Evelyn said.
Felix faced many adversities throughout his life. Periods of incarceration limited his opportunities for education and stability. Despite these struggles, he remained someone his family could rely on when they needed him most.
“Nothing made him happier than the times he could pat our Mama on the head and give her $20 to go to the Dollar Store,” his sister said. This man also had a soft spot for helping those less fortunate, often giving what little he had to people experiencing homelessness.
On November 13, 2024, Felix was driving to get food for one of his daughters when tragedy struck. At the intersection of 3rd and Cumberland Streets in Philadelphia, police found Mr. Pabon shot inside his vehicle. At the age of 41, he passed away.

To this day, no one has been arrested in connection with his death. The Philadelphia Police Department is still accepting any information that can lead to an arrest.
Felix is survived by his seven beloved children, his mother, four sisters, two brothers, and many extended family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Felix Pabon’s life tells a story of struggle, resilience, loyalty, and love for family. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his strength, and the deep care he had for the people in his life and how much he loved to laugh. May he rest in peace, and his memory live on through the lives he touched.
