Shadeed Hall was the proud and devoted father of four amazing children, two sons and two daughters who were the center of his world. As a single father, he worked tirelessly to provide for them, often putting their needs above his own and making sure they always felt supported and loved.
Shadeed Hall, affectionately known as “Twin,” passed away tragically on July 24, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on November 21, 1989, Shadeed was a lifelong resident of Southwest Philadelphia, where he built a life filled with love, loyalty, and steadfast dedication to family and community.
He was one of four siblings and shared an especially close bond with his sister, earning him the nickname “Twin.” Their connection was cherished by both, and it reflected the deep loyalty and affection he carried for his family. Shadeed also had two older brothers who loved him dearly.
As a student at Bartram High School, Shadeed made his mark as a member of a local Drill Team, for 10 years. He later became captain, and this role showcased both his leadership and his disciplined spirit. Although his education was interrupted, Shadeed did later earn his G.E.D.
As adults, their strong bond was reinforced by the fact that Shadeed lived with his sister, Shadeah.
“We shared smoothies in the mornings before he would leave to do his errands,” Shadeah said. “He would check with our mom to see if she needed anything.”
This young man had a deep love and respect for his mother, whom he lovingly called “Mama Dukes,” and he never missed an opportunity to show his appreciation for her. She struggled with arthritis and Shadeed hated to see her in pain. One of his favorite things was to see his mother happy. He did whatever he could to make that happen.
“My brother was very forgiving. I worried that he was too trusting sometimes,” Shadeah replied. On the flip side, his sister added, “People would come up to me and say how much they admired him. They told me that he taught them a lot. Later, they expressed how much they missed him.”
People recognized his sharp style, passion for football, and natural talent for music. Whether he was playing the drums, rapping, crafting beats or simply nodding along to his favorite songs, music was one of the many ways he expressed his vibrant disposition.
Shadeed worked as a Home Health Aide, a career that perfectly aligned with his generous heart. He was the kind of man who would stop to carry heavy bags for his neighbors, run errands, offer a listening ear without hesitation, and brighten any room with his humor and warm spirit. His sister described him as kind, hardworking, stylish, funny, thoughtful, and full of life.
Though he was known for his big personality, Shadeed was also an introvert at heart—a homebody who cherished quiet moments with his loved ones. So, it was a big deal when he got his own apartment, attended a family banquet and went to his best friend’s funeral. He usually spent a lot of time at home watching Baddies or something on YouTube.
On July 24, 2025, while talking with friends at 62nd and Woodland, Shadeed’s life was senselessly taken during a drive-by shooting. His loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be forever remembered for the joy, kindness and laughter he brought into the world. At the present time, no one has been arrested.
According to the Muslim faith, the Janazah service was held on July 28, 2025, at the Keen Mortuary, on Race Street in Philadelphia. Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life, honor his memory, and say their heartfelt goodbyes.
Shadeed “Twin” Hall leaves behind his children, mother, siblings, extended family, and countless friends who will continue to carry his legacy of love, generosity, and strength.
